Having a mobile friendly site is no longer just highly desirable from a usability point of view, it is now ESSENTIAL – at least if you want to be found in Google.
Google are now discarding non mobile friendly sites from search results from mobile devices. So anyone looking up your site on an iPad, iPhone, Android tablet or phone won’t find it anymore on Google if it’s not mobile friendly. From their article:
